Q: What is the Kampala 2 Cape Town Tech Road Show?

A: The K2CT Tech Road Show is a traveling technology exhibition road tripping across Africa during the 2010 FIFA World Cup. It is using the hype of the first ever World Cup to educate and inspire African youth to become social entrepreneurs. We will be working to broadcast World Cup matches on big screens for youth, and when the crowds show up, we will be mixing in technology demonstrations, innovation workshops, and messages about social entrepreneurship.

Q: What is included for my trip?

A: The Grand Prize includes round trip flight to Africa, in-country lodging, visas, some meals and travelers insurance.

Q: What does it mean to "Become the Blogger"?

A: When you become the blogger you will sign on as  a member of the Kampala 2 Cape Town Tech Road Show Crew. Your responsibility will be to end each day by entering your thoughts about the show's activities online both in text and picture form. We will supply you with a digital camera for pictures if you do not have one. You must be 21 or older to become to blogger.

About Kampala 2 Cape Town Tech Road Show:




The Kampala 2 Cape Town Tech Road Show will utilize the grassroots excitement over the first World Cup in Africa to educate and inspire youth. The program is supported by Two Wheeled Foundation, the International Youth Foundation, Starbucks,  Kampala Coach and the East African Speakers Bureau. The show is working with community organizations in Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Namibia and South Africa for a program that promotes social entrepreneurship along the route.
